Cobalt Aviation

Cobalt Aviation is a grass root organization founded by local pilots, Erissa Yong-Wilson and Jamie Ursulak, who have a great passion for flying. We are poised to meet your flying needs and we would like to see your dream take flight. Come and share our passion. Dream, explore and experience the thrill of learning to fly with us.

Because we are a smaller organization, you will  experience a friendly, sociable and relaxed environment in which you can learn to fly without peer pressure. You can come to get your Recreational Pilot License, your Private Pilot License, or Night Rating, or for the career minded, a Commercial License, as well. Or you can just come and get in the left seat again to dust off the cob-webs if you have not flown for a while. We also offer great sight-seeing trips and aircraft rentals.

Our employees are kind, friendly and supportive. So, stop by anytime to check us out and we will be happy to offer you a tour … and a cup of coffee or just to shoot the breeze!!  See you soon.

Pitt Meadows Regional Airport is the ideal airport to fly out of. It offers a variety of services including a control tower, parallel runways, and a VOR (Very High Frequency Omni-directional Range, which is a radio station used for navigation); as well, it is in close proximity to two practice areas for those taking flight training, and the Coastal Mountains and the Downtown Core for those interested in sight-seeing or renting.

Jamie Ursulak

Born and raised in the lower mainland of Beautiful British Columbia, Jamie has been involved in aviation for seven years. His aviation career began in 1999 during his grade 12 school year when he completed a work experience program at Transport Canada’s hangar on the south-side of the Vancouver International Airport.

Erissa Yong-Wilson

Erissa Yong–Wilson was born in Brunei, raised in Malaysia and immigrated to Canada in 1975. She is a Canadian, an entrepreneur and private pilot. Yong-Wilson is the broker and owner of a Century 21 franchise in Burnaby,  and is the President of Cobalt Aviation…

Location

We are located at the Pitt Meadows Regional Airport on the North side. At the hangar we have a ground-school classroom, a flight planning and preparation room, and a briefing room. As well, in the actual hangar area we have more than enough room for our planes and recreation area.
