Aircraft Rentals
If you are looking to rent an aeroplane for time building, just having fun, or visiting out-of-town friends and family, Cobalt Aviation would be happy to accommodate you. However, before you can rent our aeroplanes, you must complete a checkout flight with one of our instructors (this is at your expense, the cost is $175 per hour plus GST and PST, and the flight usually lasts an hour), complete a short, open-book exam on the Pilot’s Operating Handbook, and complete and sign a Renter’s Agreement. In addition, if you plan on carrying more than one passenger you must complete our Full-Load Checkout or, if you plan on flying in, or over, the mountains you must complete our Mountain Checkout.
The rental rate for our C172s is $130 per hour wet and this is subject to fuel surcharge sometimes. Check out our aeroplanes here. If our aeroplanes aren’t quite equipped the way you like them, please let us know, either through email, phone, or in person, and we will consider your suggestions.
