So, You Wanna go Sightseeing?
When we were little, it was a big deal for us to jump into our dad’s old Morris Minor and go cruising down the longest road in Borneo called the Miri-Lutong trunk road. It was 7 miles long. When we were little 7 miles is a long way…. fast forward 30 years later, and here I am in the most beautiful part of the world called the BC Lower Mainland. We have the gorgeous mountains to the North and the Pacific Ocean to the South West and along the coast sheer unadulterated beauty…. AND can only be appreciated to the fullest from the sky. Even from 2,000 feet you see the majestic glory of the wonders that make "Beautiful British Comlumbia". Last Saturday, my dear friend Wendy and I were sitting around chatting and drinking ice tea and BBQing hotdogs on the barbie at our hangar. We decided to jump into one of our planes here at Cobalt Aviation and just go cruising… but unlike the Morris Minor days, this will be a ride of at least 100NM. Off we went… but not until we invited our latest transient, an 81 year old pilot, Howard too…. it was a fun, fun time. No, it was a blast and the pictures here paint a thousand words…."
